Developed by the people responsible for the tuning of the original Qvick Mini Belcar race car, we are pleased to offer RICA ECU upgrades for the new Mini One and Mini Cooper S.

With just an ECU upgrade, we can upgrade the performance of your Mini without the need for any other modifications. We don't need to change any pulleys on the Mini Cooper S, or add any sports exhaust. The power gains are achieved with only an ECU upgrade. You can have a powerful, invisible, undetectable ECU upgrade for a fraction of the cost of a mechanical pulley upgrade kit. The ECU upgrade is fully reversible at our premises or at the dealer that installed your upgrade, so the upgrade can be quickly reset and re-applied as often as required. The upgrade is done while you wait, and you can drive in and out and enjoy the enhanced performance immediately!

This ECU upgrade requires 98 RON for maximum performance, such as Shell Optimax (98.3 RON). If you can't find 98 RON, then 97 RON Super Unleaded is a good alternative. One independent test has measured Esso 97 Super Unleaded to be 99 RON. Should you be unable to find any Super Unleaded, 95 RON is still safe to use but power will be reduced, since the ECU will automatically adjust to the lower grade fuel. Also, using 98 RON will provide better fuel economy than 95 RON, so the extra cost of 98 RON will be cancelled out by the improved fuel economy.

When you come to sell your Mini, the residual values won't be affected by this upgrade. You can either reset the car back to standard, or sell it on with the invisible ECU upgrade. Either way, the lack of physical modifications means that prospective buyers will not be put off if they are looking for a standard car, and the car will be easier to sell back to any approved BMW dealer.
