340 bhp and 460 Nm"I decided to have my remap installed by Jerry at Phil Whitaker Cars shortly after purchasing my Volvo S60R. After driving the car for approximately 500 miles I could tell that there were clearly more gains that could be squeezed out of the engine! First and foremost I must say how pleased I was with the customer service, time spent fine tuning the map and the support after the map was installed. Having owned over 60 cars, the majority being remapped by various competitors, this one is definitely the most drivable I have experienced. There is no jerky response or hesitation across the rev range and it is a good compromise of being very civilized in town driving whilst delivering huge performance from 2750 rpm onwards - the boost is introduced smoothly and there is minimal turbo lag. Overall I am totally satisfied with the work carried out by Phil Whitaker Cars / Race-Tune.com and I would strongly recommend their services."

25bhp and 35NmCar feels a lot better, it's like a brand new car! Smoother, very responsive, feels like it has a lot more mid range as you mentioned. It has also got rid of a bit of a judder when driving slowly in first and second gear.
Will be recommending you guys!
Addition 10th Feb: Just to let you know i'm getting around 20+ miles extra per tank since the remap. :-)

130bhp to 170bhpHaving been a keen turbo petrol driver my new longer commute has reluctantly forced me to change to a diesel. After owning my Fabia Vrs for a month I had it chipped. The power has increased from 130bhp to around 170, with an additional 75Nm of torque, and what a difference it has made! I am currently averaging 45mpg, with 55 on longer journeys.
The car is most impressive when pulling away - the look on other drivers faces when I leave them behind is priceless!!
Thank you for making my driving experience even more pleasurable. I will definitely be recommending you and will be back if I am ever convinced to change car again.

From 185bhp to 220Bhp and 460NmI love my 'chipped' S60 it's my ninth and they've all been chipped. You can immediately tell the difference it's all about the torque! The manuals will go up hills in 5th or 6th at 1250rpm and the autos have much quicker pick-up from any speed. My current silver '08 S60 Diesel Euro4 auto has around 220Bhp + 460Nm and still gives 40mpg locally and 47mpg on a run and it's delightful to drive with enormous mid-range pull, a real Q car. I actually drive quite gently, but it's great to have the commanding performance available when I need it. Chipped diesels the only way to travel!

410Bhp to 438BhpFrom my conversations with Matt George at Race-Tune.com I was confident that I could trust him with the remap of my Audi R8. And I don't let just anyone near my R8!
Race-Tune.com had a custom map made specifically for my car which has improved the performance from 410Bhp to 438Bhp and also, increased the lower torque response making the car even better to drive. It even has slightly better fuel efficiency as a result!
In fact on a long trip just a couple of weeks ago it recorded almost 26 to the gallon!
All I need now is perhaps a "Track Day" to really put it through its paces!
Matt tells me the R8 can have additional performance should I decide to.. ( But I think I'll wait and enjoy what has already done to it before I take it to the next step!)
I would recommend their service and professionalism to anyone looking to get that little bit more from their pride and joy.
D.T. Audi R8 owner.

From 204Bhp to 236Bhp - Torque increases by 60NmDear Jerry
Thanks for your email received this morning. We spoke subsequently on the telephone.
Following the remapping of my car on Friday morning, I had a lengthy drive to the other side of Wantage in Oxfordshire and then back by a different route - overall mileage for the day was about 117.
I was thoroughly delighted with the remap and the car went extremely well. Without a shadow of a doubt it is much quicker off the mark and it has lost the pronounced lag which is common to most diesel engines. Overall performance is greatly improved as is fuel consumption.
I would say that although the remap was primarily for performance, the fuel consumption on a long run has increased by approximately 10%. I was able to measure it more carefully on the short run to my office earlier this morning based on the normal MPG for this journey, and again it was almost spot-on a 10% improvement.
Overall then I am delighted, and I am quite happy that you pass on to your customers this information, and especially to record the friendly, helpful service I have received.
I have recommended you to a friend who has the latest Audi A8 3 litre diesel. I hope that when he returns from holiday at the end of September he will contact you to bring the car in to be similarly remapped. I am assuming the Audi engine is on your list of available upgrades.
Kindest regards.

From 163BHP to 204BHP - Torque from 340Nm to 435NmThank you, thank you, thank you. In October I had my '51 S60 D5 tuned by you to 204bhp and 435Nm. I have waited until now before writing to get about 2000 miles on the clock. My face now aches from my constant grin as I drive. Any more power would really need AWD. Motorway cruising, effortless. Need to pass someone, effortless. Want to surprise a BMW /Mercedes driver, effortless (I used to own a 328i). Unrivalled comfort, startling power, awesome sound system and superb mpg. To anybody else thinking about it, buy yourself or partner a remap for Christmas and just drive.

From 163BHP to 210BHP - Torque from 340Nm to 450NmI carried out significant amounts of research on enhancing the performance of my Volvo and discovered that not only is RICA held in very high regard but happily for me PWCars is only about 5 miles from my house! Had a long conversation with the very knowledgeable team and decided that my diesel geartronic S60 (163 bhp) would benefit from the sport tune option. I handed over my car and the requisite and in return was delivered a car that brings a huge smile to my face every time I drive it. Not only is the engine smoother, faster (very very much faster) but somehow, and I'm sure this breaks some law of physics somehow, much more economical too!
I am delighted with the performance upgrade, in real world driving the S60 is everything you'd want a car to be, my advice is don't hesitate get Rica'd today and really see what your Volvo can do. All the very best to Jerry and the team and thanks for making the transition from a 4.2 litre V8 to a 2.4 diesel a lot less traumatic than I expected.

Volvo V70 2.5T with LPG ConversionECU Mod:
Race-Tune.com Standard MapPower Increases:
From 200BHP to 235BHP - Torque from 285Nm to 380NmI have a Volvo 2.5T which had been converted to LPG using the Prins multi point injection system and because I already had the cheap fuel option I thought there would be room for increasing the power. I therefore had the car upgraded with the RICA performance upgrade, now it would not be true to say that I was upset with the performance before the tune, it was just that low down the torque was quite evidently different to when the turbo kicked in. But after the tune, oh my gosh what a difference, now I am over the moon with the performance, I even got an increase in efficiency of 1-2 MPG on motorway "Cruise Control" driving, unfortunately I drive with my foot to the floor on non motorway driving, so no fuel efficiency saving there. So in summary for the cost, performance boost and fuel efficiency, I would not hesitate endorsing this upgrade for any car like mine and oh yes and there was no problem whatsoever with the LPG, no changes needed.

From 163BHP to 210BHP - Torque from 340Nm to 450NmGuys,
I just wanted to say a quick thanks for the RICA 210 sports upgrade to my S60 D5. The car was fast before, but it's in a different league now. The torque gain is fantastic, and I've also seen an improvement in mpg from 48.7mpg to approx 53 mpg at the moment after resetting the trip computer.

From 163BHP to 204BHP - Torque from 340Nm to 435NmDear Race-Tune
Having recently had my Volvo RICA modified by yourselves I wish to thank you for transforming my diesel powered, ordinary family estate, into a very quick supercar.
The D5 engine has lost its lag, is now very responsive and massively quicker on acceleration in any gear. I am advised it will nudge 140 miles per hour and at the same time save me 5 miles per gallon, how can that be?
Needless to say I am delighted, the new driving experience is simply astonishing. My car was simply OK before, but now is so much better and immense fun to drive.
Many thanks.

From 240BHP to 304BHP - Torque from 330Nm to 430NmJeremy,
At last I have found some valuable time to let you and the rest of the team at PWCars know just how pleased I am with not only an excellent friendly service, but also a fresh approach to customer service and upgrade facilities.
I am unable to state the amount of enjoyment I have experienced since having my 850R chipped by PWCars; smile on the face fails to justify the exact experience, To any owners of T5 850's or 850 R's if you would like to experience the pure Wolf in the proverbial sheep's clothing scenario then chip that baby, Trust me you will not regret it.
Fuel consumption is relatively minor but power increase is phenomenal only trouble now is the caravan has trouble keeping up with the car (Any suggestions????)
Once again thanks to all at Race-Tune & PWCars keep up the good work.

From 140Bhp to 170BhpI just wanted to drop you a line to say how pleased I am with by V70 2.5D which was chipped when I bought it from PWC. The result has been to give all important performance to a solid workhorse of an engine between 2,500 and 4,000 rpm.....just what is needed to overtake caravans on a trip up to the coast!
Having owned several V70s in the past this set up is the most fun I have had since our T5!
Best regards,

From 140Bhp to 180Bhp - Torque from 220Nm to 240NmThought I would tell you how good the enhanced V70 experience is. Definately a very good drive now. Pulling out from junctions and overtaking are easy with the extra 40 BHP and a surge to max. torque between 2900 and 3400 rpm. All this with an instant response, no turbo-lag. A cost-effective improvement to an 'entry-level' engine.
