The Volvo D5 Common-Rail Diesel engine is a superb unit capable of producing in excess of 460Nm. All RICA ECU remaps are designed on a MAHA LPS 3000 rolling road with performance and longevity as top priorities to ensure years of exciting but trouble free motoring. Initial hesitation on acceration is removed and 0-62mph time is reduced by 2 seconds aproximately.
Once the software codes have been read from your vehicle's ECU, software engineers create software specific to your vehicle to maximise your power, torque and MPG. Your new custom software is then downloaded to your vehicle directly through the OBDII port - No hardware modifications are made and nothing is 'bolted' onto the car. Pricing for the D5 engine is £442.50 (EURO 3 cars over 4 years old) inc VAT / £590.00 (EURO 4 cars) inc VAT. This includes full VIDA diagnostics before and after tuning and a visual inspection of the car. A certificate of remapping will be issued on the day of tuning.
 
As with all performance tuned vehicles it is recommended that owners adhere strictly to the manufacturer service schedule.
 
The ECU upgrades are developed at RICA Engineering in the Netherlands, on a state of the art MAHA LPS 3000 rolling road, which has been tested for accuracy within 1% and conforms with the testing accuracy of the MAHA rolling roads specified by the manufacturers.
